Efficiency Builders for Writers

Many see writing articles as a nuisance. I happen to disagree with this belief. I think that article writing can be one of the most fun and rewarding activities there is.

The concept of coming up with things to write about, and then knowing what to write, can be a challenge. Still, there are strategies that make this easy and enjoyable.

Based on my experience, I’d like to share some advice with you that I do believe will be of great help to you. Follow these simple rules and you may even enjoy writing.

People enjoy reading articles with lists, and writing them is one of the easier ways to write an easy read. This way, you’ll know the items that made your list (i.e. a top ten list) and you’ll have an easy time writing a paragraph or two about each.

If you don’t like the idea of writing lists, or simply prefer another means as well, tell stories. Everyone has their own experiences to draw from, and personalizing an article in this regard will allow you to connect with your readers.

You can also challenge yourself to write your articles within a certain time frame. If I sit down, I’ll usually give myself something like two hours, where I know that those two hours will purely be devoted to article writing. Set a goal and do everything you can to hit that goal within the span.

Since writing is a tedious process, I also like to remind myself of this by giving myself small rewards for finishing and achieving certain goals. In doing this, I’ll always have something to look forward to at the end.

My last suggestion may sound a little unconventional, but I can assure you that it’s had a major impact on my output levels. Work on your typing speeds, as faster typing will allow you to do more work in less time.
